I awaken each morning
And can't wait to see...
The sunrise at dawn
That GOD gives to me!
A Victorian Lady
Freshened with paint
I speak of my home...
And me, please... don't faint!
We've built a new porch
And added a door.
Then ripped up the carpet
And re-built the floor!
The task seems so endless...
Will it ever be done?
I could use a vacation...
On a beach in the sun!
My car's not too big,
But I love it so...
It's just the right size
For life on the go!
One Irish husband
And a child sooo tall!
Now she wears heels...
I hope she won't fall!
A bird with the gift
Of laughter and joy,
But I cannot tell...
Is it girl or boy?
There are thousands of books,
All read by me...
Each page a promise
Of all that might be!
Outside grows a garden
Filled with rocks, dirt and seeds,
It all makes me smile...
Even the weeds!
My life is achanging,
It grows as I do...
And it is my pleasure
To share it with you!

Trapped in the attic
Until twenty-eight,
I longed for my freedom...
I just couldn't wait!
I escaped through the doorway
And traveled up North!
My mind was in turmoil...
It raced back and forth!
'Where would I live?
What would I do?'
One answer was certain...
Only GOD knew!
I stopped in the country
And worked at an inn,
Impatiently waiting...
For life to begin!
Then I moved to the city
And clerked in a store.
The feeling would haunt me...
'Is there ANYTHING more?'
I pounded the pavement
And stopped off to eat.
I applied for a job...
Was hired in my seat!
But life is a drudge...
'May I help you?' 'Clean this!'
How I yearn for excitement...
Much more than this!
GOD has promised me things
That have yet to appear.
I rejoice through these troubles
For the prize is near!
I'm thirty-seven now
And continue to wait
For my life to begin...
The promise is GREAT!
So I give GOD the Glory
And ALL of the Praise!
I expect awesome things...
For the rest of my days!
