~ Tuneless Tunes and Krazy Kerchoo ~

...School begins...
Time passed, and when she was five years old, the Princess's lessons began. On the day after her birthday, the King and Queen took her to The Great Library, where the Family Royal were instructed in all things Royal - a life filled with duty, honor and love.
...A puzzle...
Pashzmeenie stood at the threshold... waiting for her fanfare to be played. Puzzled when it didn't happen, her child's mind searched for a remedy to the situation. Well... she thought... this is my first day. And... this is a special occasion. And... I don't want the Harolds to get into trouble! And... I don't want my teacher to think that I don't know anything! So...
...A tuneless tune...
Suddenly a child like mimicry of the Princess's Royal Fanfare rang out - tuneless - but the fanfare it was! Startled, everyone turned to stare as the Princess calmly stepped into the room and joined her parents. The incident was not mentioned because no one wished to embarrass her. This was unfortunate, for from that day forward it became her custom to do this in the absence of The Royal Harolds.
~ And thus the whispers of lunacy began ~
School became Pashzmeenie's favorite thing in all the world! Each morning at sunrise, Nanny presented her to Professor Whienstein... whose absent-minded ways, lack of pretense, and love of learning touched her child's heart. Together they studied far more than the life Royal ~ they studied the complexities of life itself:
The iridescent dust
on a butterfly's wing;
The aerodynamics of bird flight;
The volatile chemical nature of
a baking soda and vinegar mixture;
(That one was MESSY!!!
KIDS: DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME!)
Stink Bugs
and the variety of smells they come in;
(How many smells do YOU know?)
The nature of pond gasses
and why they glow;
Why dust motes dance in the sun;
Inchworms
and how long they really are;
(Tape measure required!)
Shooting stars
and what makes them go;
Fireflies
and what makes them glow;
Oddities of the animal world:
When an anteater gets a runny nose...
how does he eat?
When a skunk takes a bath...
does he loose his stinky?
Is the armadillo a warlike creature...
because it wears armor?
Questions about people:
Is the size of a person's foot...
directly related to their height and width?
Why do people make war?
Questions about GOD:
Since GOD knows the number
of hairs on your head,
(Matthew 10:30)
does He count your nose hairs, too?
Why do people question the existance of GOD,
when all of nature praises Him?
(Psalm 148:1-13)
How she loved to learn! And things were going well... until that dreadful day. While creating a map of the solar system... complete with glittered shooting star trails, Pashzmeenie inhaled some glitter... causing her to sneeze a Kerchoo of rainbow hues! It was a Krazy Kerchoo that forever lifted the veil of secrecy between teacher and pupil. Never before had she thought of herself as different...
~ But the look of shock
on the Professor's face was a revelation ~
