DAY ONE
~ The Snow King! ~

***

...It all began so innocently...

There I was, minding my own business, which - as you may have guessed by my manner of authority - was to make sure that all of the other snowflakes were doing their very best to stick together to make the best snow sculpture the estate had ever known! Things were going well... there was just enough light to make us sparkle like diamonds in the sun!

The grounds keepers were busily clearing the walkways for the old gentleman. Oh, how he loved to stroll about and see all of the snow and ice sculptures! They did say that winter was his favorite time of year...

You know he'd made his fortune from the snow! Oh yes, he'd started as a small boy shoveling the walkways of older people. Gradually he'd moved on to clearing the sidewalks for the local downtown businesses, so that by the time he was 17, he'd bought his first plow truck. Oh, they say it was ugly... full of rust... and how the old gears squealed! But it could really move the snow! And do you know, he's become the undisputed Snow King! Why, his trucks move snow all over the country!

I quite liked living there, on the estate. People came from all around to see us, we were that famous! And, as I was saying, the grounds keepers were clearing the walkways for all the people. They were getting closer and I thought nothing of it until it happened... the great blowing machine blew me right off the sculpture and The North Wind snatched me right away!

Oh, the terror! What was to become of me... tumblin' all about... little ice crystals pokin' me in the bum while The North Wind whistled the 'Song Of Winter,' and strange little bits and pieces tumbled about with me?!!!

Then suddenly The North Wind began to slow, and I fell farther and farther until I'd fallen smack dab in the middle of... the middle of... well, where was this place? And what was that smell? It was... offensive! HORRIBLE HORRORS! It was a great bristling mustasche filled with decaying bits of grease and... AND ONE OF THEM WAS MOVING!

Good Lord! What was happening now? OH, NO!!! It was going to sneeze! And a great smelly 'Kachoo' propelled me on to further misadventure...
