DAY TEN
~ The Fleet's In! ~

...DREADFUL HORRORS! The spider's lair...
We hit the 'web' at high speed, slidin' down the silken threads and bouncin' off of the other ensnared bits...
HOLD ON! If we were slidin' and bouncin' all about, then this couldn't be a spider's web! Everyone knows that spider webs are super sticky... with spidey goo! So, if this wasn't a web... what was it?
Just then something hit us and the lid snapped shut! And it was none too soon, I can tell you... the air out there was just a bit above freezing and it's that bit that makes all the difference in the life of a flake. The cubes were glad to see it come down, too! They were actually beginning to cry!
I was just ready to give them the old 'Oh... it's not so bad' speech, when we heard singing in the distance! Why, for all the times it had happened, it was just like being trapped in a musical comedy of errors! This is what we heard...
"We are sailors from the sea...
And that's all we want to be!
We sail about in a fishing fleet,
And blow our horn at all we meet!
We catch the fishes in our net...
They are wiggly and they're wet!
We sort them out from big to small,
And then we ship them to the mall!
They're packed in ice to keep them fresh...
We wrap them all in pretty mesh!
We load them onto great big trucks,
We pray that they will not get stuck!
People buy them at the store...
They're so good, they ask for more!
Our fish are fresh caught from the sea,
We guarantee variety!"
It was so thrilling... with the sound of the waves poundin' at the ships hull, the wind whistlin' all about, and the man creatures singin' in their rough seamen voices! I tell you, if there was anyplace for a flake in the navy, I'd be the first in line to sign on!
Slowly the net began to move... rising upward until suddenly we began to fall again! It was a fall to further
misadventure...
~ Dun, Dun, Duh! ~
